NOTICE: A bug has been identified in the latest version (3.9) whereby changes made in 
the GUI do not stick. A quick fix is to bring up the GUI, select the Syslog tab, add 
a syslog destionation (using the Add button), and click Apply. You can then delete the 
destination. Your modifications will now stick. Unfortunately until the workaround is
