Some of my devices is not seen in 'Map View'. - When you goto a subnet, the zoom level is set so all objects is shown in the map. If you have objects that is very far from each other, the map is zoomed out so much that the object icons may be very small. Do this: Unlock Map View and click on the icon 'Edit Background'. Set 'Max Icon Size at Zoom Level' to a low value (for example 5 Label). Save and you are back to 'Edit Mode'. Now you will see all icons and can move any icons closer. When finish, go back to 'Edit Background' and set 'Max Icon Size at Zoom Level' to the orginal value. 2. The server is slow and when trying to login it says 'Server busy'. - The most common reason is trap flooding from one or more devices. Check Event Action/Statisics or use wireshark and monitor UDP port 162. KNOWN PROBLEMS 1. The Console (EasyMan.exe) reqires write access to EasyMan.ini in install dir. If you have installed beneath 'C:\Program Files (x86)\' you may not have access-rights. - Change access-rights or uninstall the Console and reinstall in another directory. 2. The Map is not shown at the Easy Man Server. - Make sure no FW is blocking access to the mapdatabase (see OSM-MapTiles.ini). - Make sure Javascript is enabled in IE. This guide will step you through the process of enabling JavaScript in Internet Explorer. Select the "Tools" menu. Select "Internet Options". Select the "Security" tab. Select the "Internet zone". Click the "Custom Level". Scroll down and change the Active Scripting setting. Confirm the change. Close "Internet Options". JavaScript is now enabled. 3. Can't change the map background (Save button) on the Easy Man Server Console. - Open Server Manager and goto Local Server. Set IE Enhanced Security Configuration to Off. Restart the Easy Man Console. 4. There is a date/time problem when using the Norwegian/Finnish format (dd.mm.yyyy) - Switch to a format that uses dashes (dd-mm-yyyy) in Regional Settings in Windows. Stop the Easy Man Services after changing the format. You may need to clear the Event Log. Start the Easy Man Services. In the Easy Man Console you can use the format dd.mm.yyyy if you prefer. 5. The process EasyManSrv.exe hangs after a server reboot. - When EasyManSrv.exe starts it writes info to the event log (SQL). To be sure the SQL has been started before Easy Man, you should change to 'Delayed Start' in Windows Services for the four Easy Man services. 6. If you poll devices/links (that has the same IP address) behind a FW that is setup with UDP stateful inspection you may get false alarms. - Lower the connection timeout for UDP Stateful in FW to 30 secs. Configure the devices/links in Easy Man with: Poll Interval=120, Timeout=15, Retries=2
